Enter Café Capitol- a Parisienne café with the traditional French essentials: baguettes, cigarettes, champagne, and of course, the chance to observe the most elegant passersbys while enjoying your pomme de terres. For our Spring presentation, we wanted to capture the essence of French culture and pick up those characters you would see on a Parisienne street, and bring them right to our home in Charlotte, NC.
As a patron of Café Capitol, one could see tourists, a couple in (and out!) of love, paparazzi, and locals toting newspapers and books as they strolled through our floral shop and weaved through the 'streets'. Capitol stylist Mary Claire’s frenchie, Blanche, had her runway debut donning pearls. Très magnifique!
After the show, guests were treated to more champagne and mingled with the models. What started as a rainy Charlotte day turned into a perfectly Paris overcast afternoon filled with style!
